Birthday with a YouTube party

Someone had a birthday. Oh, me.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I’m trying to be a good student and put my studies ahead of anything else (videos, photos, blogging, etc.). School is my priority at the moment (and sometime soon I’ll try to write a post of what school itself is like).

On Nov. 2 I turned 30 years old.

Thirty.

A little hard to read, it says: おたんじょうびおめでとう, or happy birthday. Host family got this for me.

Every year people ask me how it feels to be X years old, and every year I say it feels the same. This year is no different, except that it’s the first time I’ve spent my birthday away from most of the people I know. But I really wasn’t lonely. Went to school, someone gave me a birthday card, came home and had some DELICIOUS cake my host mom picked up for me (see above). And then Saturday night I went to a party in Tokyo where many big names in Japanese YouTube were at. Kat McDowell, Micaela, Megwin, Rhyming Gaijin and many more.

Next time I’ll have a short video from the YouTube party to share with you. Nothing much happened in the video clips I recorded, but it’ll give you an idea of what the party was like.
