Niftiness

So a month or so ago,  my dad got remarried.  As a gift for my duties as best man, I received a digital picture frame. In the past I’d seen them, but they never really held my interest. After receiving one, my opinion on these has changed.

I received a Sony S-Frame. The best part about this is that it works with very little set up. Really, you can work this without any setup. Plug it in, turn it on, connect it to your computer with a USB cable, and it’ll pop up on your computer like any other USB device.  Drag your photos over, disconnect the cable and you’re set.  Of course, you can then choose to customize whether it should show a clock, calendar, neither, what type of transitions to do between photos, etc.

The quality is high, with a crisp displace and a good contrast ratio.

Of course, you don’t have to use it for photos.
