So after a year of being offline, I think due to issues with our host and deprecated versions of PHP and MySQL, the gallery is back. Click that little tab at the top of the page and you can once again view the images.
A little known fact: Most of the traffic to RMo, up until the gallery went offline, was from users in Japan linking to images of Koda Kumi, a Japanese pop star, that I took and posted up in the gallery.
In the 8 months or so since my last post I’ve quit my game reviews, have focused more on my Japanese language classes, and been playing games for enjoyment, not just for work. I’ve been in two weddings, have booked a trip to Japan the first week of December 2008, and that’s about it.
I remember back in 2000 or 2001, some friends and I were heading down to South Padre Island here in Texas. We stopped at a gas station to fill up and buy some snacks; I went to use the restroom.
So, I go into the bathroom, take a leak, then I wash my hands. Next to the sink, mounted about eye level is some weird thing I’d never seen before. I lean closer to it and look at the hole, only to be blasted with air freshener in my eye. Sonuvabitch, that hurt.
I always tell myself that when it comes time to move I need to slim down my collection of crap. Of course, I never listen to myself.
So, I’m moving this weekend, which throws a kink into my reviews. It really sucks, I tell you. I have four games to play and review, but I don’t seem to have the time this week. Ack! Clive Barker’s Jericho, Phoenix Wright III, SOCOM: Tactical Strike and Buzz the Mega Quiz. I fear with the holiday season I may soon find myself in this position for several weeks.
In the meantime, I’ll be so much closer to work, which I’ll greatly enjoy, if only because it means I can sleep it a bit more as there should be a shorter commute.
Growing up, I loved watching Saturday morning shows. Freakazoid!, Pinky and the Brain, Road Rovers, Bump in the Night, Reboot and a few others. One of them I enjoyed was Sonic the Hedgehog.
Now, there were two versions of the show. One was a syndicated version that was comical and had no plot. It’s easily identified by the lower production quality and the inclusion of two characters, Scratch and Grounder. This was the show to avoid at all costs. Of course, I was stupid and would wake up at 6:30 a.m. weekdays to watch this abomination.
So, the old site has closed and, for archiving purposes, can be found here. It had a good run, but after a year of no real updates, I decided it was time to move on.
There are some things to note with the new site layout. Lots of the extra stuff from the old site is gone. RSS feeds are now available. You can comment on the posts!
Hopefully there won’t be much spam with the option.
